Amara loves her sticker books and runs through them quite fast. Her Nana ensures we have a constant supply for Peppa, Dinosaurs books. She is now mastering how to use a scissors. And its a big deal for her.
While reading and enacting the stories one day, we realized that we could create our own cutting and sticking activities. This way she could create her very own version. We split the page into two. On one we draw the characters and props. And on the other, we draw a scene where we stick them.
Harry Potter “WHAM Story”
This is one of her favourites story: Harry Potter getting hurt by the rogue bludger (from Chamber of Secrets). In this version, Lily and James are looking worried from the stands while Dobby is bewitching the bludger.
Lord of the Rings
This was the first time I introduced Lord of the Rings. She was fascinated by Shadowfax and how wizards have a hierarchy based on colours: Sauram the White is more powerful than Gandalf the Grey. She made me look up the other colours.
